Parent Involvement

Our children, teachers, and parents are all partners in The Gan’s education and child development. A substantial home and school connection demonstrate to children that we are all working toward the same goals and ensures that school lessons are made more significant and lasting.

At The Gan, we provide many opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s education and encourage parents to be active contributors to children’s activities in the classroom and the school. One of the ways we ensure that parents are regularly involved is through our open communication policy between staff, teachers, and parents. We provide constant updates on children’s progress in learning and development, and our teachers are easily accessible through phone or email to discuss unique needs, concerns, or questions with parents.

Curriculum Night

Parents can meet and connect while participating in a hands-on experience based on their child's learning throughout the year. This event gives parents the chance to learn about our unique educational philosophy through their child's lens.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences aim to ensure that parents are kept up to date on their child's progress. Additionally, teachers and staff are available to meet with parents one-on-one outside of the conference time.

Parents Always Welcome

Our facility is always open for parents to drop in. Parents can observe their child in their classroom setting to see how they are doing themselves. If you would like to come in for a visit, please call the office to schedule a time.

Parent Got Talent

We warmly welcome parents to come to share a hobby or occupation, allowing children to be exposed to the many opportunities in the world around them.

Photo Updates

Our staff post weekly pictures of the children's activities and lessons during that week.

Family Events

Our unique programs such as holiday celebrations, Dad's Donuts, Mom's Muffins, and Parent's Night Out are sprinkled throughout the year to nurture the warm relationship The Gan enjoys with the parent body.
